Book Description

The Finsac Experience was a financial crisis that took place in Jamaica in the 1990s. The crisis had a devastating impact on the Jamaican economy and the lives of many Jamaicans. This book tells the story of the Finsac Experience, arguing that the crisis was caused by a combination of factors, including international economic factors, the Jamaican government's economic policies, and the racism of the Jamaican financial sector.

The book draws on a range of sources, including interviews with key actors in the crisis, government documents, and newspaper articles. It provides a comprehensive and nuanced account of the Finsac Experience, and makes an important contribution to the understanding of financial crises in developing countries.
